The KL International Kids Club is back this January with a brand new theme: Dinosaur Detectives. Running from January 5th to 30th, this winter camp takes place at KL Kids Campus (KLKC) and offers a month full of fun, hands-on learning, and imaginative play.
With full English immersion using the UK IEYC curriculum, kids will explore dinosaur-themed adventures through creative activities and structured learning. The camp includes two field trips (to the Science Center and an indoor playground), plus nutritious Asian and Western meals served daily.
Each child receives a certificate of completion and a camp T-shirt at the end of the programme.
Our daughter attended KLKC for over two years, and our experience with the school’s holiday camps was nothing short of excellent. The teaching team is warm and experienced, and the programmes are thoughtfully designed to balance fun and learning. During her time there, she especially loved the mix of activities like Taekwondo, Music, Yoga, Bahasa and Mandarin, baking, and water play.

Winter Solstice Camp – Camp M.A.E.

If you’re looking for a true sleepaway experience in nature, the Winter Solstice Camp by Mad About Education (MAE) is one of the few overnight camps in Malaysia designed specifically to build independence and life skills in kids. It’s held at Eagle Ranch Resort in Port Dickson, complete with dorm-style accommodation, team-building challenges, and outdoor adventures.
Campers follow a structured daily schedule that blends individual electives in the morning with group challenges in the afternoon. Evenings wind down with classic camp activities like campfires, game nights, and movie nights, designed to strengthen friendships and confidence.
The programme includes four meals a day, on-site facilitators, 24-hour supervision, and age-appropriate lodging (younger kids in dorms, teens in chalets). There are two groups offered during the same dates:

This winter, Camp Beaumont returns with its popular multi-activity programme at The International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) — and it’s a great option for families looking to keep their kids active, engaged, and social over the school break.
While ISKL is now our daughter’s school, we won’t be signing her up this year as we’ll have grandparents visiting and are planning a short family getaway to Pangkor Laut Resort during the holidays. That said, we know the school and facilities well, and this is a solid pick for a well-run, enriching winter camp experience.
The programme is split into three age groups:
- Playtime Programme (ages 3 to 4): A half-day experience (9 am to 12 pm) focused on play-based learning in areas like creative arts, physical development, and emotional wellbeing. The staff-to-child ratio is 1:8 and all children must be toilet-trained.
- Magic Programme (ages 5 to 7): A fun and structured programme that helps children build confidence, try new things, and work together through themed activities, games, and challenges.
- Active Programme (ages 8 to 12): Older kids get to set their own pace with a mix of sports, arts, and design projects. There’s also a planned outdoor excursion to a green space (weather permitting) to keep the adventure going beyond the classroom.
