Floristika – For Real Christmas Trees That Smell Like Christmas
If you’re after a real Christmas tree in Kuala Lumpur, Floristika is the place most locals and expats will point you to first. Located in Bangsar, this floral wholesaler brings in fresh Noble Fir trees, usually starting in mid-November. Sizes range from small tabletop trees to tall 9-foot options, depending on the year and shipment.
These are imported trees, not plastic imitations, so expect a proper pine scent, natural shape, and sturdy branches for hanging ornaments. The trees come pre-netted for easy transport, and you can visit in person or place your order online. Delivery is available, but options may be limited during peak season, so it’s best to plan ahead.
Even if you’re not buying, it’s worth visiting just to see the trees stacked outside. It’s one of the few places in KL where Christmas feels fully present the moment you arrive.

We bought our artificial Christmas tree from iDecor Home in Chinatown back in 2022, and it’s still going strong. It was a tall, plain green tree with full branches and a clean silhouette — nothing flashy, but great quality and easy to assemble. That same year, we also picked up decorations from a few other stores in the area, and it quickly became one of our favorite spots for holiday shopping in KL.
The best part about browsing Petaling Street during the holidays is that you’ll find dozens of shops selling all kinds of Christmas trees, ornaments, party decorations, and lights. It’s festive, budget-friendly, and a fun way to get into the spirit of the season.
We’ve walked the area with a stroller, and while it’s definitely possible, some shops have narrow aisles that can be tricky on busy days. If you can, visit on a weekday morning or earlier in the season to avoid the crowds.

Most years, they stock a small selection of artificial trees, including slim and tabletop versions that are easy to assemble and store.
You won’t find luxury-level branches or dense foliage here, but if you’re looking for something functional and affordable, it does the job. Their holiday section also includes decorations, string lights, and wrapping paper, making it a convenient one-stop shop.
Last year, we bought a set of tree lights here when we discovered our old ones hadn’t survived storage. IKEA made it easy to find exactly what we needed without spending too much time or money.
