Spotlight: B.Duck City Funs Carnival
B.Duck City Funs Carnival is a cheerful, pop-up carnival outside Pavilion Bukit Jalil. It’s a great pick for toddlers and preschoolers who love colourful rides and character-themed fun.
What we love about B.Duck City Funs? It’s easy, stroller-friendly, and just the right size for a short, low-stress outing with young kids. Our five-year-old had a blast on the gentle rides, especially the bubble-blowing B.Duck Cycles and the Romantic Paris car ride, complete with a mini Eiffel Tower. Even Baby S, though still too little to ride, enjoyed soaking up the sights.
The whole carnival is compact, covered, and quiet—even when we visited on a long weekend. With the Klook day pass, our daughter could re-ride her favourites without fuss, and we didn’t have to queue at the ticket booth each time.
Located right at the Piazza of Pavilion Bukit Jalil, it’s an easy add-on if you’re already there for shopping or a meal. We stayed about 45 minutes, and that was just right.

What’s On in Kuala Lumpur – October 2025
- 2 – 6 October – Pameran Seni Visual Sekolah Seni Malaysia Kuala Lumpur – Step into Creative Space and explore a colourful showcase of artwork by students from Sekolah Seni Malaysia. Open daily 10 am – 4 pm, this exhibition is a fun way to spark kids’ creativity while enjoying a family day out surrounded by art.
- 3 – 5 October – Jalan Jalan Bulan at Central Market – Take a stroll through this lively weekend bazaar filled with stalls, snacks, and festive finds. It’s a great chance to browse unique goodies, try tasty bites, and enjoy a family day out at Central Market.
- 3 – 5 October – Ekspo Kucing 2025 at MITEC – MITEC will be packed with all things feline at Malaysia’s biggest cat expo. Expect adorable competitions, adoption drives, fun activities, and hundreds of pet brands to explore a purr-fect day out for cat lovers and families.
- 4 October – Kids Gelato Workshop at Gelato Mania Glo Damansara – Malaysia’s first Gelato Academy, Gelatomania invites kids aged 4–12 to learn the art of making Italian gelato. More than just a sweet treat, this hands-on workshop helps children build teamwork, strengthen social skills, and spark their senses as they explore the delicious world of gelato.
- 4 October – Echoes of Culture @ MaTiC with Swakarya Serumpun – A full day of cultural showcases at Tunku Abdul Rahman Hall, 10 am – 10 pm.
- 4 October – Inspiring Leader Batik Conference & Culture Festival Kuala Lumpur – Celebrate batik and culture at Lanai, 10 am – 6 pm.
- 4 October – Joyful Moonlight Lantern Parade at Sungei Wang Plaza, Bukit Bintang – The 9th edition of KL’s largest lantern parade returns with over 30 lion dance troupes, glowing LED dragons, cultural shows, fireworks, and appearances by local artistes. A festive evening capped with 1,000 free lanterns to light up together.
- 4 – 5 October – Fiesta Rakan Muda 2025 at MyTOWNKL, Cheras – A free youth festival bringing together 10 lifestyle zones with activities in arts, music, sports, digital, and more, plus performances by local artists and exclusive Rakan Muda kits to grab.
- 4 October – Horse Ride & Stable Tour at UPM Serdang – Let your kids (3+) get up close with the horses — from feeding and grooming to a short ride and a guided stable tour. A lovely way to spend the morning outdoors, and parents join for free.
- 4 – 5 October – Cocomelon: Sing-A-Long – Join JJ and friends for a lively sing-along concert at Mega Star Arena, Sungei Wang Plaza, Kuala Lumpur. With multiple shows across the weekend, it’s a fun musical experience for little ones who love Cocomelon.
- 5 October – Burger Making Class at Marrybrown, Presint 15 Putrajaya – A fun hands-on session for kids aged 3+ to build their own burger step by step. RM40 per child, including a free burger, apron, chef hat, and certificate to take home.
- 5 October – Shining Star Concert & Graduation – Trinity Kids Malaysia’s annual concert returns with a magical theme, taking families on a journey of songs, surprises, and celebrations. Open to the public, expect performances, games, and a festive atmosphere at Connexion, Bangsar South.
- 8 – 26 October – Radiance of Heritage at Intermark Mall – Soak up the festive spirit this Deepavali with vibrant peacock displays, colourful décor, and plenty of photo-worthy moments. Spend RM300 in two receipts to take home a beautifully handcrafted Artisan Aroma Stone (new design each week!).
- 10 – 12 October – Trick or Treat Me by Sukasenimy at Central Market – Halloween fun comes to the city! Expect plenty of festive treats, spooky decorations, and creative stalls for the whole family. A playful way to soak in the Halloween spirit together.
- 10 – 12 October – Dramatari: Semerah Padi – A cultural theatre performance at Tunku Abdul Rahman Hall. Evening shows on 10 & 11 Oct (8.30 pm) and matinee on 12 Oct (3 pm).

- 10 – 20 October – ASEAN Arts & Crafts Bazaar (AACB) 2025 at Kompleks Kraf Kuala Lumpur – Celebrate creativity at this showcase of local and ASEAN craftsmanship, with handmade products, live demos, performances, and family-friendly workshops at Kompleks Kraf KL, Jalan Conlay. Free entry!
- 11 October – Swan Lake Ballet Returns – Experience the magic of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake as the Saint Petersburg National Ballet Theatre takes the stage at KLCC Plenary Hall. With dazzling costumes, graceful dancers, and live storytelling through movement, this classic ballet comes to life in two shows at 3 pm and 8 pm.
- 12 October – Children’s Eye Care Talk – Join Optometrist Rebecca from IC Optometrist Myopia Clinic for an easy-to-follow session on protecting your child’s vision. While parents pick up tips on kids’ eye care, little fellows can enjoy a craft activity and play area time. A family ticket also includes a door gift and a complimentary eye screening worth RM85—making it a fun and useful afternoon out at Kyoot Kids Play Cafe, Damansara.
- 14 – 19 October – Pameran Lintasan Budaya & Monolog OKU – Cultural and inclusive performances at Tunku Abdul Rahman Hall, 10 am – 10 pm.
- 17 – 20 October – Pesta Muda Mudi Kurta dan Saree at Central Market – Celebrate culture and colour at this festive market showcasing beautiful kurta and saree styles. Families can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, discover new looks, and take in the lively spirit of the weekend.
- 17 October – 2 November – Great British Circus: Legend of The Sea – The Great British Circus is back in KL with a brand-new show under the big top at Desa ParkCity. This year’s production is a unique water circus featuring international performers in a 2-hour adventure packed with acrobatics, flying trapeze, aerial acts, stunts, and comedy. - 17 – 26 October – KL Park Festival 2025 at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa – Taman Tasik Titiwangsa transforms its venue into a huge festival ground for 10 days of culture, food, and family fun. Highlights include the KL GENTA Drum & Dance Festival, ASEAN Halal Food Festival, Unity Garden, and plenty of performances and competitions.
- 18 – 20 October – Deepavali Workshops at The LINC KL – Get creative this Deepavali with free hands-on craft workshops at Level 1, opposite Ben’s. Make your own fabric art, wind chime, or mandala scratch art and bring home your masterpiece!
- 18 October – Tiny Explorers: Fungi Fun at Taman Rimba Bukit Kerinchi – Take your little ones (16 months – 4 years) on a gentle forest walk to spot mushrooms, try a hands-on science experiment, and get creative with a fun craft in the middle of nature.
- 19 October – HSNKL Family Run Half Marathon – Celebrate the 10th anniversary of Hari Sukan Negara with a special family run at KLCC. Alongside the half-marathon and new 30 km challenge, there’s also a focus on families running together, plus fun contests and prizes to be won.
- 19 October – EDU Fun Run 3.0 / 2025 – Take part in this family-friendly fun run at Dataran DBKL, Kuala Lumpur. With the theme “Education for All,” the event brings together kids, parents, and grandparents for a car-free morning of running, jogging, or walking, plus community activities and entertainment.
- 20 – 22 October – October School Holiday Workshops at Edwethink – Give your kids (ages 4–12) a holiday boost with three days of fun workshops at Plaza Arkadia. It’s all about learning through play in a small, friendly group from building confidence in My Feelings, My Superpower! to solving mysteries in The Detectives Club.
- 20 – 22 October – Kiddie CEO Market – Head to The Campus, Ampang for a full weekend of family fun where kids take charge! Meet mini entrepreneurs at the Kiddie CEO booths, shop family-friendly brands, enjoy stage shows, trick-or-treat adventures, games, and prize challenges. Free entry, 10 am–8 pm.
- 24 – 26 October – Dendang Desa by Goodseed Event at Central Market – A cultural weekend filled with music, performances, and community vibes. It’s the perfect outing if you’re looking to introduce your kids to local traditions while soaking in the festive energy.
- 25 October – Ceramic Painting by the Lake at Lakeside Eats Cafe – Spend a relaxing morning by the lake at Taman Tasik Ampang Hilir painting your own ceramic piece. The workshop includes light breakfast, free-flow drinks, and a few surprise gifts — no experience needed!
- 31 October – 2 November – Kala Kelam by KL Life Fest at Central Market – Round off October with a unique mix of arts, culture, and family-friendly fun. From creative showcases to festive activities, it’s a lively way to spend the weekend together in KL’s most iconic market.
