Trying to find a summer camp in Kuala Lumpur that’s well-organised, genuinely fun for your child, and actually runs on the dates that work for your family? You’re not alone. The school holiday period fills up fast, and with so many options out there, it can be hard to know where to start.
We’ve been navigating this ourselves for a few years now. Little Miss R did summer camps at KL International Kids Club in 2023, 2024, and 2025, and they were a highlight of her school breaks every year. She had a particular soft spot for the weekly field trips. After moving to ISKL, we tried Camp Beaumont for the December 2025 winter holidays, and she came home on day two already asking to go back in summer. High praise from a five-year-old.
This year, we’ll be away during the ISKL summer camp dates, so we’re back to researching options for July. Which is exactly how this list came together.
In this guide, we’ve rounded up the best summer holiday camps in Kuala Lumpur for 2026, covering a range of ages, interests, and budgets. FEATURED: Mad About Education Summer Programmes
Best for: kids aged 7–17 looking for outdoor, nature-focused camp experiences
We’ve tried Mad About Education’s activity subscription boxes with Little Miss R and have been fans of the brand for a while. Their holiday programs this summer range from a full overnight residential camp to single-day excursions closer to KL, so there’s something here depending on how much time you have.
Camp MAE is the flagship overnight program at Eagle Ranch Resort in Port Dickson. Kids pick their own elective activities each morning from sports, arts, and adventure, and afternoons are team challenges. Kids manage their own laundry and schedule for the week, which is part of the point. Ages 7–12 and 13–17 in separate groups. July 26th – August 1st, RM3,200 per child.
The two single-day excursions are a nice add-on if your child wants a taste of something different without a full week away. The Orang Asli Community visit heads to Bukit Lagong on August 4th (RM295), and the Eco Adventure at Camp RED in Bentong runs August 6th (RM230). Both include food and transportation.
The Summer Day Camp at Imperial International School in Ipoh runs over two weeks in August, with excursions to Gua Tempurung and a high ropes course at Nomad Adventure in Gopeng. RM1,250 per week.

KL International Kids Club
Best for: preschoolers and young children aged 3–7
This is the one we know best. Little Miss R did three summers here, and the weekly field trips were consistently her favourite part of the week. Think museums, zoos, indoor playgrounds, all tied into whatever the camp theme was that year.
For 2026, the theme of KL International Kids Club’s summer camp is Animal Rescuers Adventure. Each week covers a different habitat: Jungle, Safari, Polar, and Desert. Camp runs July 20th to August 14th, from 8 am to 3.30 pm daily. Fees include snacks, lunch, a camp T-shirt, certificate, and insurance, so there aren’t many hidden extras to budget for.

Camp Beaumont Summer Camps
Best for: kids aged 3–12 looking for a well-organized, variety-packed holiday camp.
We’ve done Camp Beaumont ourselves. Little Miss R joined the Magic program (ages 5–7) at ISKL for the December 2025 winter camp, and she came home on day two already asking to go back. For summer 2026, Camp Beaumont is running across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor, and Penang from June 8th to August 21st.
Programs and dates vary by location, so it’s worth checking their summer camp page to see what’s available near you and check specific dates. Newtonshow Summer Camp
Best for: curious kids aged 3–14 who like hands-on science
Newtonshow runs science-based holiday camps across multiple locations in KL, Johor, and Penang. There are three programs to choose from depending on your child’s interests: a general science camp, a Harry Potter Science Camp, and a Super Robotics Camp.
Each program runs for a full week. The Harry Potter Science Camp covers things like color morphing potion labs and invisibility cloak light bending experiments. The Robotics Camp works through Dash robots, Lego WeDo, VEX builds, and Makey Makey circuits. The WOW Science Camp includes everything from elephant toothpaste and volcano reactions to a build-your-own science toy on the last day. Kids take selected projects home at the end of each session.

Best for: kids in Years 1–8 who enjoy a mix of sports, creativity, and hands-on activities
Arrowhead Skills runs multi-activity holiday camps across several international school campuses in KL, combining sports, creative projects, performance, and STEAM activities across the week. The program changes week to week, so kids who come back for multiple sessions won’t be doing the same things twice.

Embassy Camps Summer Camp
Best for: teens aged 9–19 looking for a residential camp that combines English with travel
Embassy Camps is a well-established international camp operator that’s been running programs in Malaysia for over 15 years. These are overnight, residential camps — not day camps — so they’re better suited to older kids. These are great summer camps for teens who are ready for an away-from-home experience.
Their most popular Summer 2026 camp is the Travel and English camp, which runs from July 29th to August 12th across Kuala Lumpur and Borneo Island. It’s 15 days of intensive English lessons with native speakers, combined with excursions that take kids from the city to the jungle. All organization and safety is handled by the Embassy Camps team, so parents don’t need to coordinate logistics.
Other programs are also available if the Travel and English format isn’t the right fit.

Crafty Whizz Studio Holiday Camps
Best for: kids aged 6 and up who enjoy hands-on making and creative projects
If your child is into sewing, crafts, or art, this one is worth a look. Little Miss R did a sewing class at ISKL as an after-school activity and absolutely loved it, so Crafty Whizz is on our radar for the summer.Crafty Whizz Studio Holiday Camps run on weekdays and cover four themed programs: a Sewing Camp, Fashion Camp, Art and DIY Camp, and a Rainbow and Unicorn Camp. Each session is hands-on from start to finish, no prior experience needed, and kids take everything they make home with them. All materials and sewing machines are provided at the studio.
You can book a single day or sign up for a three or five-day block and mix and match themes across the week. Sessions run either 9.30 am to 1 pm or 2.30 pm to 6 pm, so it can work alongside other plans you have for the holidays.

British Theatre School Summer Course
Best for: kids aged 6–17 with an interest in acting and performance
If your child is into performing arts, this one stands out from the usual holiday camp lineup. The International British Theatre School runs a five-day intensive course at Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar in Negeri Sembilan, taught entirely by professional British actors and directors.
There are two tracks depending on age. The Junior Track (ages 6–12) covers stagecraft, public speaking, and ensemble work, wrapping up the week with a 25-minute theatre production for parents. The Senior Track (ages 12–17) is more industry-focused, covering audition technique, self-taping, and a mock agent panel, useful for teens who are serious about pursuing acting.
A supervised daily bus service runs from Ampang, KLCC, and KL Sentral, so the Negeri Sembilan location doesn’t have to be a barrier for KL families. Lunch and snacks are included, and class sizes are capped at 36 students total.
