Wondering what the best hotel in KLCC is? Whether it’s your first visit, you’ve been here many times already, or looking for the perfect staycation, we highly recommend the Grand Hyatt in Kuala Lumpur. Continue reading as we share our honest Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur review.
Kuala Lumpur is a cultural melting pot where food, architecture, and tourism blend into a single spread. Whether visiting the city to gaze at the city’s most popular landmark, the Petronas Twin Towers, or stroll through the Perdana Botanical Gardens, there’s no better place to kick it all off than at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur.
Before we moved to Kuala Lumpur, the Grand Hyatt was already our favorite place to stay in Kuala Lumpur, and whenever we have guests visiting, we always recommend this five-star hotel near KLCC.
Located right at the heart of the city, it is in close proximity to most of the tourist attractions and landmarks in the city. The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the Aquaria KLCC Oceanarium, as well as a lot of restaurants, bars, and shopping malls, are all a quick walk away. The Petronas Twin Towers are also a short stroll walk away; all you have to do is cross KLCC Park.

Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur Review: Sensational Views of Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur has the best of everything – the alluring modern architecture, the wild kiss from nature, the magical splash of culture – it all seamlessly comes together as a beautiful whole.
Running parallel to this weave of everything is Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, which also throws everything to the table – from the luxurious seething from every corner of each room to the grand experiences waiting for every guest who walks through the door. It’s one of the few properties that knows how to keep both business travelers and families happy at the same time.
The Grand Hyatt in Kuala Lumpur keeps all things huge as they combine elements of wood, marble, and glass. Each guest room leaves so much space for every guest to just breathe the entire experience in. With floor-to-ceiling windows that add even more majesty to every room and suite, it gives breathtaking views of KLCC Park and, if you’re lucky, front-row views of the Petronas Twin Towers.
If you’ve managed to secure a Towers View Room on one of the top levels of the hotel, you don’t even have to get tickets for the Twin Tower’s Observation Deck anymore. After all, pictures are better with the towers in it, aren’t they?

Dining at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur: Delivering Joy to the Palate
Staying true to its grand theme, Grand Hyatt brings dining to a whole new level with THIRTY8. Located on the 38th floor, it gives 380-degrees panoramic views of the sparkling city of Kuala Lumpur.
But it doesn’t just stop with the aesthetics. The experience continues with every dish that comes out of the kitchen. They serve a mix of traditional and contemporary cuisines, with Chinese and Western favorites as part of the menu. It even has a show kitchen that adds another layer of excitement to your overall dining experience.
For those who enjoy brunch, they have quite a spread set up every last Sunday of the month, (weekly from October 2023). We only missed a few brunches since we moved to KL. The combination of great food, amazing views, and a kids corner makes it a perfect Sunday afternoon out.

If you prefer Malaysian cuisine, JP Teres has you covered. Located on the ground floor, you can enjoy indoor and outdoor dining with the bustling sound of wok stations, satay grills, and tandoor ovens. This halal-certified restaurant also allows you to enjoy the outdoors on the alfresco dining terrace. Due to its certification, no alcohol is served indoors.

When dining at JP Teres, make sure to leave room for dessert because the JP Cendol and the Melon Sago are to die for.
Another option that allows you to enjoy the hotel pool and some tropical greenery is the Poolhouse, where you can enjoy dishes curated by renowned chef Daniel Green.
Meanwhile, those who want to experience a truly unique experience can book Le Petit Chef, where you take an animated journey that brings you from one course to the next.
Barbie™ Suite: Find The Best Family Rooms in Kuala Lumpur at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur
This staycation package has been discontinued from 1 April 2024
We can tell you all about it, but in this case, we let the pictures talk. Imagine a Barbie-themed suite fitted with exclusive Barbie amenities, a Barbie play corner, and lots of pink touches.

Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur Facilities: An Immersive Experience for the Young and Old
With the Grand Hyatt being a high-rise in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s business district, you might think it would have a stiff and formal business appeal. Nothing is further from the truth; the hotel is very family-friendly and is perfect for a Kuala Lumpur getaway, even (or perhaps especially) if you’re bringing your kids.
The staff are all very good with the little ones, and almost every time we dined at THIRTY8, the restaurants had small activities that kept our daughter busy while we enjoyed brunch, lunch, or dinner.
For parents taking their kids to a hotel, the Barbie-themed rooms surely leave great memories.
The hotel may be in the middle of a bustling city, but the outdoor pool eludes a tropical resort vibe (with a view!). Kids can also have their own fun in the water, with a wading pool located just by the main pool.

For a truly relaxing experience, drop by Essa Spa and enjoy the tinctures, oils, and elixirs used in the Ramuan healing modality, a Malay traditional healing method and Essa’s expertise. So far, Essa Spa is our preferred spa in Kuala Lumpur, even when we’re not staying at the hotel.
