Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream performed by Meadow Ballet Centre at KLPAC
Meadow Ballet Centre presents Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac), showcasing the talents of 30 young Malaysian dancers alongside guest artists from Switzerland.
Taking place on 11 & 12 July 2026, the production is the finale of a special cultural exchange led by Yen Han, former Principal Dancer of Zurich Ballet and founder of the Yen Han Ballet Foundation, together with Meadow Ballet Centre Principal Doris Chong. Over the past few months, students have trained with internationally recognised ballet professionals, learning not only advanced dance techniques but also artistic storytelling, rehearsal processes and performance skills.
Adding another family-friendly touch, the performance features live narration by KL Shakespeare Company actor Nurul Sofia, making Shakespeare’s classic tale easy to follow for audiences of all ages.
Beyond the stage, the initiative also supports the community through Meadow Ballet Centre’s Community Arts Outreach Program, welcoming more than 200 children from underserved communities to enjoy the performances free of charge.
