We stopped by B.Duck City Funs Carnival at Pavilion Bukit Jalil during a staycation at Hyatt Place next door and it turned out to be a great surprise. Despite the long weekend, the carnival was quiet, stroller-friendly, and perfect for a quick outing with young kids.
Our 5-year-old loved the colourful rides and couldn’t get enough of the Romantic Paris car ride (complete with a mini Eiffel Tower) and the B.Duck Cycles, where bubbles flew out as she pedalled harder. Baby S soaked it all in too, even though she’s still too little for the rides.
If you’re already at Pavilion Bukit Jalil for shopping or a meal, this is an easy add-on — it’s located right at the Piazza, and you don’t need a full day to enjoy it. We stayed about 30–45 minutes and got plenty of value from the Klook day pass, which gives unlimited access to the rides for one flat price.

What is B.Duck City Funs?
B.Duck City Funs is a pop-up outdoor carnival located at the Piazza of Pavilion Bukit Jalil, running until 2 November 2025. Created by One Universe, it’s themed entirely around the B.Duck character, with everything from ride signage to game booths and even merch fully branded in cheerful yellow duck style.
There are eight main rides (all ticketed), plus carnival games, claw machines, food stalls, and a small B.Duck merchandise container store. The entire area is outdoors but covered, and it’s compact enough that younger kids can walk or scoot between rides easily, though we used our stroller without any issues too.
If you’re planning to visit Pavilion Bukit Jalil anyway or staying nearby like we were, this is a fun outdoor break that doesn’t require much planning. It’s a great alternative to a traditional theme park or playground when you want something short and light.

Rides, Games & What to Expect
There are eight ticketed rides at B.Duck City Funs, plus a handful of free-play areas, carnival booths, and claw machines. Each ride has a different theme, all tied to B.Duck’s “travel around the world” concept. They’re simple and gentle, which makes them great for toddlers and preschoolers.
Our five-year-old’s favourite was the Romantic Paris Ride, where she circled a mini Eiffel Tower in a little duck-themed car. She also loved the B.Duck Cycles, which blew bubbles the faster she pedalled. Both of these had short wait times when we visited, even on a public holiday weekend.
The Flight Diary Ride and Around the World Carousel are also good choices for younger kids, especially if it’s their first time at a carnival. Rides like Lil’ Cowboy Adventure and Bathroom Battle looked fun but may be better for slightly older kids who can sit independently and hold on tightly.

The space is open-air but mostly shaded, and the ground is flat throughout. We had no problem pushing our stroller between rides, even with a baby on board.
If your kids enjoy gentle rides and character-themed experiences, it’s a much lighter and more accessible option than most KL theme parks.
Are the Tickets Worth It? Pricing + Tips
You can either pay per ride or buy a day pass. We chose the day pass and it made the visit much smoother. At RM 15 per ride, it adds up quickly. With eight ticketed rides, you’d pay RM 120 if your child wants to try everything once. The day pass gave our 5-year-old the freedom to go on her favourites more than once, and we didn’t need to head back to the cashier for tickets each time.

We booked through Klook, which saved us time and gave us the advance rate. If you’re planning to go, it’s worth booking your pass at least a day before. The link sends you straight to the B.Duck ticket page, and you’ll have a QR code ready to scan when you arrive.
It’s also worth checking if you’re going on a weekday, since prices are slightly lower and the carnival is usually quieter. We went during a long weekend and it was still calm, but weekdays are likely to be even more relaxed.
When to Go + Practical Tips for Parents
Weekday mornings are the best time to go. Not only are the tickets cheaper, but you’re more likely to have the place mostly to yourself. We visited on a Saturday during the Merdeka weekend and were surprised at how quiet it was, which made the experience even better.
The carnival opens in the afternoon on most weekdays and from late morning on weekends. If you’re planning to visit on a Saturday or Sunday, aim for before lunch, when crowds tend to be light and the sun isn’t too strong yet.
Here are a few tips from our visit:
- Book tickets in advance on Klook to get the lower rate and skip ticket queues.
- Bring a stroller if you have younger kids — the space is flat, covered, and easy to navigate.
- Budget 30 to 60 minutes for the whole experience. It’s compact and manageable, especially if you’re combining it with shopping at Pavilion Bukit Jalil.
- Don’t forget it’s only here until 2 November 2025.
If you’re looking for something similar but more active, you might prefer these outdoor playgrounds around KL. But for a gentle, character-themed experience, B.Duck City Funs is a solid choice.
Is B.Duck City Funs Worth It? Our Verdict
If you have young kids and are already heading to Pavilion Bukit Jalil, yes — it’s worth it. Our 5-year-old had a great time, and the setup is ideal for preschoolers: gentle rides, minimal crowds (at least when we went), and a fully themed experience that’s easy to enjoy without needing to plan an entire day around it.
It’s also great value when you get the day pass on Klook. You can ride as much as you like, skip the lines for individual tickets, and give your kids freedom to re-ride their favourites. We stayed for about 45 minutes, which felt like just the right amount of time.
This isn’t a full-scale amusement park, so if you’re expecting something like Sunway Lagoon or Genting SkyWorlds, it won’t compare. But if you want something light, colourful, and kid-focused, it’s a great option — especially while it’s still running.
